Islamabad: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, landed in Islamabad on Friday, marking a significant moment in the enduring bond between the two friendly nations.
Upon his arrival at Nur Khan Airbase, Sheikh Mohamed was met with a warm welcome from Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, alongside other senior ministers and officials. This reception underscores the profound diplomatic and cultural connections between the UAE and Pakistan.
As his aircraft flew into Pakistani airspace, it was accompanied by military jets, symbolizing the respect and camaraderie shared. Upon landing, a formal welcome ceremony took place featuring both national anthems, a 21-gun salute, and an honour guard to greet the UAE President.
The event also showcased performances from military and traditional bands, enriching the atmosphere with cultural pride. Along the way, schoolchildren waved UAE and Pakistan flags, reflecting the friendship between the two countries.
Sheikh Mohamed is traveling with a distinguished delegation, including Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; and Salem Mohammed Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, among other ministers and officials.
His visit aims to enhance cooperation in crucial areas such as economic partnerships, development projects, and regional stability, further solidifying the trust and mutual support between the UAE and Pakistan.
