UAE President Leads Eid Al-Adha Prayers at Grand Mosque

On Wednesday, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan presided over the Eid Al-Adha prayers at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, joined by senior leaders, officials, and worshippers from across the UAE.

Among the attendees were Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, along with Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

The prayer gathering also saw participation from various members of the ruling family and high-ranking officials, including Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.

In his sermon, delivered by Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, themes of honesty and sincerity were emphasized as foundational for building strong societies and prosperous nations.

Titled “Our Eid is sincerity and sacrifice,” the sermon highlighted that honesty serves as the bedrock of trust and stability. Dr. Al Darei pointed to the UAE's commitment to values like honesty, unity, and dedication as reasons for its remarkable progress.

He further articulated that true honesty entails loyalty to the homeland and the selfless service to the nation, including responsibilities like nurturing children with solid values and playing an active role in national development.

Post-prayers, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed exchanged warm Eid greetings with worshippers present at the mosque.

In remembrance of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE President and attending dignitaries recited Surah Al Fatiha together.
