At the Expo 2025 in Osaka, the UAE Pavilion has proudly been awarded the Silver accolade at the DFA Design for Asia Awards, an event hosted by the Hong Kong Design Centre. This prestigious recognition is dedicated to extraordinary designs from across Asia that encapsulate cultural innovation and significant social influence. The award emphasizes the pavilion's global stature and its impactful architecture.

Over the six-month event, the UAE Pavilion presented a captivating fusion of artistry, craftsmanship, and narrative. Its design draws inspiration from the UAE's iconic date palm tree and reflects the traditional areesh structures endemic to the region. Notably, the pavilion uniquely incorporates agricultural by-products from date palms alongside advanced Japanese woodworking techniques, showcasing a remarkable synergy between Emirati and Japanese craftsmanship.

A standout element of the pavilion is its impressive forest of 90 rachis columns, towering at 16 meters. Crafted by the Earth to Ether Design Collective—a collaborative effort between Emirati and Japanese designers—this feature exemplifies the UAE's dedication to cultural collaboration and global innovation, rendering the pavilion a beacon of shared creativity.

Shihab Al Faheem, the UAE Ambassador to Japan and Commissioner General of the UAE Pavilion, expressed that the award symbolizes the strength of teamwork among partners from the UAE, Japan, and beyond. He highlighted that the pavilion encapsulates the UAE's identity and its vision for a future founded on inclusivity and collective advancement. Al Faheem also pointed out that over five million visitors identified the pavilion as one of their favorites at Expo 2025 Osaka, drawn by its immersive sensory experience and powerful narratives that bridge diverse cultures.
