His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the Ruler of Fujairah, participated in the Commemoration Day event at Wahat Al Karama, Abu Dhabi, alongside H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes Affairs. The ceremony celebrated the valor and sacrifices of those UAE heroes who laid down their lives for their nation.
During the event, Sheikh Hamad placed a wreath at the memorial and presented the Martyr’s Medal to the families of four heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the UAE. This act underscored the nation's commitment to honoring its martyrs.
An impressive tribute was delivered, featuring fighter jets creating the formation of the Unknown Soldier, symbolizing the bravery and commitment of the UAE’s fallen heroes. This majestic aerial display captivated the audience and reaffirmed the significance of their sacrifices.
Among the attendees were notable UAE leaders, including H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah; H.H. Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; along with H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Their presence emphasized the unity of the nation in honoring its heroes.
Dignitaries like Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence; Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Major General Staff Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; and Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, UAE Ambassador to Jordan, were also in attendance.
Martyrs' families, high-ranking officials, military leaders, and guests formed a collective atmosphere of reverence and national pride. The occasion underscored the UAE’s commitment to recognizing its heroes and supporting their families.
