The Red Line of Dubai Metro has transformed into a dramatic canvas showcasing national pride, as Brand Dubai, the creative division of the Government of Dubai Media Office, introduced a stunning visual tribute to the Founding Fathers of the UAE. This impressive display spans from the Centrepoint station to Expo 2020 station, attracting the attention of thousands of commuters and visitors each day.
The installation highlights images of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, accompanied by verses from ‘The People and the Leader’ — a renowned poem by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This initiative is a key part of Dubai’s vibrant ‘National Month’ celebrations and is aligned with the second chapter of the #ZayedAndRashid campaign.
Developed with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), this visual display harmonizes with one of Dubai’s most notable emblems of modern transportation. The Red Line trains now serve as a reminder of the leadership values that have influenced the nation’s progress, reinforcing RTA’s mission to cultivate a sense of national identity within the public transport system.
This display embodies the spirit of unity and collaboration that marked the Union's early days. For countless commuters, it serves as a reflective moment amidst the hustle and bustle, linking the dynamic present of Dubai with its historical roots.
The metro exhibition is part of a larger array of National Month activities throughout Dubai, which includes the beloved Flag Garden at Umm Suqeim Beach, large art installations on the DIFC’s Gate Building, and an assortment of cultural events occurring across the city until December 2.
By merging creativity, heritage, and community involvement, the tribute along Dubai Metro contributes a significant aspect to the city’s celebrations, transforming routine journeys into a celebration of the UAE’s enduring narrative.
