An International Charity Organisation has enhanced its support for Syria by sending 50 kidney dialysis machines to the Ministry of Health, representing one of the most significant recent contributions to the country’s renal-care capabilities. This vital shipment arrives as hospitals grapple with increasing patient numbers suffering from kidney failure and insufficient medical resources.
Officials at the handover stated that the new machines will be distributed to essential hospitals and dialysis centres facing the highest patient demand. Health teams across multiple regions in Syria have been challenged by long waiting times and heavily used equipment, often leading to delays or shortened treatment sessions. With these additional units, waiting times are expected to decrease and facilities will operate more effectively.
This initiative is made feasible by the generosity of UAE donors, whose contributions are pivotal in addressing both immediate and long-term medical requirements in Syria. The charity emphasized that this project aims to provide immediate assistance to patients and healthcare professionals while ensuring continuity in services in the approaching months.
The organisation has also stated that further assessments are being conducted to pinpoint remaining needs within hospitals and medical facilities, with plans to prepare the next phase of support to strengthen Syria’s healthcare infrastructure.
