Celebrating Agricultural Innovations: Mansour Award in UAE

Under the esteemed patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) honored 34 distinguished winners during the fourth cycle of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award.

Held at the luxurious Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, the event was attended by senior officials, ministers, and notable public figures. This award highlights exceptional contributions to the agricultural sector while enhancing the UAE’s food security initiatives.

Impressive Participation Signifying Progress

Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al Ameri noted that the fourth edition garnered an outstanding 476 submissions for the main award, alongside 3,395 entries in related competitions. Winners were meticulously chosen based on criteria such as quality of production, sustainability, and prudent resource utilization.

He underscored that challenges in the global supply chain have underscored the necessity for robust local agricultural practices, making these initiatives pivotal for future sustainability.

Visionary Leadership Propelling Agricultural Growth

Officials lauded Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s forward-thinking vision, which aims to fortify key sectors like agriculture. Sheikh Mansour's ongoing support has been vital in motivating innovation and empowering farmers across the nation.

Mouza Suhail Al Muhairi applauded the increased involvement of Emirati women and youth, who are at the forefront of embracing modern technologies and championing sustainable agricultural practices.

  • Rashid Salim Al Ketbi – Best Open-Field Farm

  • Majid Mehair Al Ketbi – Best Greenhouse Farm

  • Hassan Jumaa Al Zaabi – Best Fruit Farm

  • Ahmed Sultan Al Kaabi – Productive Farms

  • Dalma Ostrich Farm – Small Producers

  • Fadel Nasser Al Saadi – Beekeeping

  • Abdulrahman Rashid Al Shamsi – Aquaculture

  • Hamad Mohammed Al Karbi – Youth Projects

  • Hamad Musbah Al Teneiji – Agricultural Technologies

  • Emirates Hydroponics Farm – Plant Production

  • Omega Farms – Animal Production

  • Khadija Darwish Al Qubaisi – Female Farmer

  • Noura Khalifa Al Jaberi – Female Breeder

In addition to these, 13 government and private organizations were recognized for their significant contributions to the award's success.
