In Ashgabat, conditions are likely to hover around partly cloudy skies as the week progresses. Meteorologists forecast an increase in daytime temperatures from approximately 28°C to nearly 40°C by month’s end, while nighttime lows are expected to be more temperate, reaching between 16°C and 24°C.
Meanwhile, the Ahal velayat region is projected to enjoy mostly clear skies, but temperatures could soar up to 41°C in several districts, marking the onset of robust early summer heat. Residents are advised to exercise caution during the hottest parts of the day.
In the Balkan velayat, weather will alternate between sunny and cloudy conditions, with inland temperatures possibly reaching 35°C to 40°C. Coastal areas near the Caspian Sea are expected to remain cooler, with a high range of 26°C to 31°C due to maritime influences.
The Mary velayat is predicted to remain clear and dry, with temperatures climbing from the upper twenties to nearly 40°C in some parts. The Lebap velayat will similarly experience cloudy skies and a rise in temperatures in the final days of May.
In the northern Dashoguz velayat, experts expect a combination of cloudy and sunny weather, with predictions showing daytime highs creeping from around 24°C to nearly 39°C as the weekend approaches. Nighttime temperatures in this region will likely vary between 13°C and 24°C across districts.
While rainfall is expected to be brief and localized, unpredictable weather shifts may arise due to unstable atmospheric conditions. Residents are urged to stay hydrated and limit sun exposure during peak hours, while keeping an eye on official weather updates.
This latest forecast serves as a clear indication of the gradual transition to hotter summer conditions in Central Asia, highlighting temporary atmospheric changes that could lead to scattered showers.
