Former President Donald Trump might engage in vital peace discussions concerning Iran, slated for Islamabad in the near future. Reports from Reuters indicate his interest in attending the talks, either face-to-face or remotely, contingent on achieving a conclusive deal.

Sources in Pakistan have confirmed the readiness for the negotiations, set to commence on Wednesday, coinciding with the expiration of a two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran. Trump has expressed skepticism over extending the ceasefire.

There were initial concerns regarding Iran's participation due to the US's seizure of an Iranian vessel near the Strait of Hormuz. Nevertheless, a high-ranking Iranian official indicated that Tehran is “positively reviewing” the possibility of attending, despite no final resolution being reached.
