The Board of Investment (BOI) is set to host SUBCON Thailand 2026, the premier industrial parts exhibition in ASEAN, from May 13 to May 16, 2026, at the BITEC Bangna Exhibition and Convention Centre in Bangkok. This significant event, organized in partnership with the Thai Subcontracting Promotion Association and Informa Markets, is aimed at solidifying Thailand's role within global industrial supply chains while generating valuable business prospects for local manufacturers and international partners.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, SUBCON Thailand will embrace the theme “Sourcing Innovation Shaping Tomorrow.” Anticipated to rank among the foremost industrial business forums in Southeast Asia, the BOI asserts that this exhibition will create networking opportunities between Thai firms and leading global industries, fostering lasting collaborations across automotive, electronics, robotics, aerospace, medical devices, and advanced manufacturing.

According to Mr. Narut Teodsathirasak, Secretary-General of the BOI, the event will showcase 239 industrial parts manufacturers from various nations, including 154 local Thai companies. He emphasized that this exhibition aims to bolster Thai companies’ capabilities and fortify industrial supply chains throughout ASEAN, positioning Thailand as a central hub for industrial parts sourcing and subcontracting services.

With expectations to attract over 90 domestic and international buyers from 14 nations including Japan, South Korea, India, France, the UK, and Vietnam, the event plans over 9,000 business matching sessions within its four days. Officials predict these exchanges may lead to combined automotive parts trade worth upwards of 20 billion baht, marking it as one of the most significant industrial trade events of the year.

A standout feature of SUBCON Thailand 2026 will be the Innovation Showcase, where exhibitors will demonstrate cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and sustainable industrial practices. Focusing on Smart and Green Technology, this showcase will allow attendees to delve into the most recent advancements in energy management, industrial automation, smart manufacturing, and digital tech.

Among the highlighted innovations will be the Smart Energy Management Platform by PTT Digital, integrating IoT, AI, and energy analytics to enhance efficiency and reduce emissions in manufacturing facilities. The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) will also feature sensor technologies that precisely gather industrial data, supporting automated production processes.

Additionally, the BOI plans to host 17 specialized seminars for Thai entrepreneurs and industry specialists. These sessions will cover investment opportunities, expanding overseas, digital economy funding, and updates in investment promotion policies, offering vital information for those preparing to adapt to the evolving global manufacturing landscape.

A prominent moment will be the BOI Symposium 2026, themed “Thailand Driving Toward Smart and Green Mobility,” which will discuss the future of Thailand’s automotive sector with a focus on electric vehicle evolution and sustainable transport systems. Mr. Narut Teodsathirasak will share insights on policies for smart mobility, while Mr. Zhang Yongwei, President of China EV100, will address the future trajectory of global electric vehicle development.

Leaders from companies such as EVAT, BYD, Isuzu, Bosch, Autoliv, and Bulletrux are slated to partake in panel discussions, sharing insights about technological innovations, supply chain development, and Thailand’s integral role in the automotive sector. The BOI asserts that SUBCON Thailand 2026 will be pivotal in helping Thai manufacturers link up with global enterprises, ensuring their inclusion in the future of international supply chains.
