During a working visit to Luxembourg, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister of the UAE, engaged in discussions with Prime Minister Luc Frieden.
The leaders acknowledged the robust bilateral relations between the UAE and Luxembourg, exploring avenues for enhanced collaboration in areas such as the economy, trade, and investment, alongside additional sectors that further their mutual development objectives.
Emphasizing the increasing prospects for partnership, Sheikh Abdullah reiterated the UAE’s dedication to nurturing strong ties with Luxembourg to promote sustainable growth.
They also deliberated over pressing regional and global issues of shared interest.
Topics of concern included Iran’s recent missile and drone attacks on civilian sites within the UAE and their repercussions on maritime security, the global energy market, and the broader economy.
Additionally, they addressed drone strikes from Iraqi territory, specifically one aimed at the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant that damaged an external electricity generator.
Prime Minister Luc Frieden expressed Luxembourg’s solidarity with the UAE, strongly condemning the attacks. Sheikh Abdullah acknowledged this support while assuring the safety and stability of all residents and visitors in the UAE.
The meeting was attended by senior UAE officials, including Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, and Ambassador Mohamed Ismail Al Sahlawi.
