Sheikh Mansour Celebrates Heritage at Zayed Camel Race 2025

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, marked his presence on the third day of the Zayed Camel Race Grand Prize 2025. Running until December 1st, this event features a grand assembly of thousands of camels from both UAE citizens and those from other GCC nations, establishing itself as a premier heritage sports festival in the region.

During the visit, Sheikh Mansour observed several exhilarating races, focusing on the flagship Laqaya category at the Al Wathba Camel Race Track in Abu Dhabi. The main races spanned a distance of 5 kilometers on the southern track, attracting a vibrant crowd of camel owners, officials, and spectators who reveled in the thrilling contests.

Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President and Chairman of the Camel Racing Federation, was also in attendance alongside numerous senior officials and camel owners from across the UAE and the Gulf region. Their collective participation emphasized the deep cultural roots of camel racing in the region.

During the proceedings, Sheikh Mansour acknowledged the dedication of various sponsors and key partners of the Sheikh Zayed Festival. This gesture, witnessed by Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan and other eminent officials, underscored the UAE’s gratitude for contributions to cultural preservation. Following the ceremony, Sheikh Mansour enjoyed a luncheon at Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan's majlis in Al Wathba, accompanied by prominent camel owners from across the Gulf, enriching social and cultural ties.
