Sheikh Hazza Discusses Cybersecurity Strategies in Al Ain

His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain Region, welcomed a delegation from the UAE Cybersecurity Council (CSC) at Al Maqam Palace, led by His Excellency Dr Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the Council.

In the meeting, Sheikh Hazza received updates on the Council’s initiatives to bolster the UAE’s digital infrastructure and elevate the nation’s capabilities in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. These initiatives aim to foster a secure, state-of-the-art digital ecosystem that aligns with global advancements and aids businesses and institutions in critical sectors.

His Highness also evaluated proposals for expanding the CyberE71 Incubator Programme, the UAE’s prominent initiative aimed at nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship in cybersecurity. The broadened programme plans to include students from schools and universities, along with entrepreneurs in the Al Ain Region, concentrating on skills enhancement and crafting advanced solutions to secure cyberspace and boost the digital economy.

Sheikh Hazza emphasized the necessity of nurturing cybersecurity talent nationwide to fortify the UAE’s cyber defense capabilities. He pointed out that a robust digital environment is crucial for enhancing economic productivity, improving global competitiveness, and facilitating the shift towards a knowledge- and innovation-driven economy.

He further stressed the importance of raising cybersecurity awareness among individuals and organizations to mitigate digital threats, safeguard national assets, and support future ambitions in artificial intelligence and digital transformation. This awareness, he claimed, is fundamental for sustainable growth across key economic sectors.

The delegation from the UAE Cybersecurity Council expressed gratitude to Sheikh Hazza for the meeting, noting his keen interest in vital sectors and his ongoing support for initiatives that enhance digital readiness and reinforce the cybersecurity landscape in Al Ain and throughout the emirate.

The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
