This year, Al Layyah Canal serves as a festive gathering point, combining heritage with entertainment and family-friendly activities. The energy along the canal vibrates with patriotism, featuring traditional Emirati performances at the forefront. Folk dance groups such as Al Razfa and Al Ayalah delivered rhythmic spectacles that truly embody local traditions. The opening ceremony also included moving tales from senior locals, reminiscing about the UAE’s early years.

During this week-long celebration, guests can enjoy a variety of interactive shows that engage audiences directly. The event spotlights local youth initiatives and family businesses displaying innovative Emirati products. A highlight of the event was the national performance named “Sultan of Sharjah” by the Al-Shaer Band, which merged theatrical artistry with a stunning light show illuminating the canal.

Families can relish a complete experience with specially designated children’s zones that include play areas and art workshops. These activities facilitate artistic expression through drawing and handicraft, merging fun with educational value. The canal’s spacious layout allows for easy navigation while offering ample space for cultural and artistic showcases, creating a warm and welcoming celebration atmosphere.
