Sharjah Expedites AI Integration in Government Services

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, has mandated the rapid integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in governmental processes.

This initiative seeks to boost administrative efficiency, elevate the standard of public services, and facilitate the shift towards an AI-supported governance framework in Sharjah.

The order underscores Sharjah's commitment to a digital transformation that remains focused on people. It aims at leveraging advanced tech for better service delivery, supporting skilled workforce growth, and reinforcing the emirate's digital autonomy.

His Highness has charged the Sharjah Digital Department with spearheading the Sharjah AI Assistant Programme, working in tandem with various government bodies throughout the emirate.

This initiative is set to establish the necessary systems and tools, outline primary objectives, and assist government sectors in the swift integration of AI tools into their daily functions.

Additionally, he has urged for enhanced collaboration with the private sector, educational institutions, and community groups. This partnership is anticipated to foster innovation, guarantee sustainability, cultivate national talent, and leverage specialized knowledge.

Through this drive, Sharjah aims to hasten its digital evolution, crafting a more efficient, intelligent, and future-oriented governance model.
