Cristiano Ronaldo made an impressive return from injury, scoring two goals to help Al Nassr achieve a commanding 5-2 victory against Al Najma in the Saudi Pro League.

Having been absent for nearly a month due to injury, the Portuguese superstar showcased his prowess on the field. His hiatus included missing vital matches for both his club and the Portugal national team, along with international friendlies against Mexico and the United States.

Despite entering the match as heavy favorites, Al Nassr faced an unexpected challenge as Al Najma took the lead just before halftime thanks to Rakan Al Tulayhi. Yet, Al Nassr responded in stoppage time with goals from Abdullah Al Hamdan and Sadio Mane, flipping the game in their favor just before the break.

Al Najma managed to equalize early in the second half through Felippe Cardoso, but Al Nassr quickly regained momentum. Ronaldo converted a pivotal penalty in the 56th minute, restoring their lead, and added another in the 73rd minute, demonstrating his classic finishing skills. Mane capped off the match with a goal in stoppage time.

This victory marked Al Nassr’s 13th consecutive win in the league, solidifying their position at the top with 70 points. They remain six points clear of rivals Al Hilal, who are preparing to face Al Taawoun in their next outing.

Ronaldo’s swift return and impactful performance have injected renewed hope for Al Nassr as they pursue the league title, underscoring his lasting significance in the game at 41 years old.
