The Supreme Court will examine a ₹500 crore decree case from the UAE in July after mediation efforts
The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), part of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), has just revealed updated dates for the 35th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF). The celebrated cultural event will now occur from September 13 to 18, 2026, instead of its initially scheduled timeframe in April.
This decision demonstrates the fair's increasing global significance and its role as a central cultural platform in the region. The organizers are focused on fostering international participation and maintaining visitor engagement by selecting a more optimal timeframe.
Officials noted that the change in schedule follows in-depth discussions with global partners, publishing firms, and relevant UAE authorities. Essential topics included international travel conditions, guest availability, and logistical issues affecting the publishing domain.
Alongside the new dates, organizers have confirmed that the 20th edition of the Sheikh Zayed Book Award ceremony will also take place during the book fair in September, enhancing the event's cultural importance.
This rescheduling is anticipated to bolster Abu Dhabi's status as a worldwide hub for literature, publishing, and cultural exchange, providing a more accessible and inclusive platform for global participants.
