Thailand’s economic support initiative, “Thai Chuay Thai Plus,” is experiencing a significant uptick in enrollments as businesses nationwide flock to register. On May 27, officials reported the highest daily amount of new business applications since the program's launch earlier this week.

Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Periswiwatana emphasized that 12,840 new businesses registered on May 27 alone, marking the highest single-day growth since the program initiated on May 25.

Recent figures indicate a consistent increase in registrations. The initial day saw 12,429 new businesses on May 25, followed by 10,244 on May 26, culminating in a notable jump on May 27. Officials attribute these statistics to the bolstered confidence of entrepreneurs in the government's recovery measures.

The program also reported a marked rise in the number of businesses that finalized verification, with 10,576 shops becoming operational on May 27. This brought the total of verified businesses to 605,812 across the nation.

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul’s administration remains dedicated to enhancing the grassroots economy, supporting local entrepreneurs, and fostering community stores throughout Thailand.

Lalida further articulated that the increasing registration is a positive indication of operators recognizing promising sales opportunities via the government’s scheme. Authorities are expediting processes to ensure swift participation for new registrants.

The “Thai Chuay Thai Plus” program aligns with Thailand’s extensive economic stimulus efforts aimed at alleviating living expenses while uplifting domestic businesses affected by various economic challenges.

Economic analysts suggest that this rapid increase in sign-ups is a robust indicator of growing trust in government financial support initiatives, underscoring the vital role small and medium enterprises play in Thailand’s economic recovery.
