Dubai is preparing to host the prestigious OCEANMAN World Final Championship at Kite Beach from December 5 to 7. This global event will feature over 2,800 swimmers hailing from 93 nations, marking the highest number of participants in the series’ history and underlining Dubai’s status as an international sports hub.
Organized in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council, the championship will showcase competitors in men’s, women’s, and children’s categories. It’s noteworthy that more than 1,200 national champions and numerous Olympic-level athletes will be part of the event, with nearly 80 percent of the competitors traveling from abroad, emphasizing Dubai's strong appeal in global sports.
The women’s category will see top talents such as Barbara Pozzobon, Giulia Gabbrielleschi, Clémence Coccordano, and Rachele Bruni. Meanwhile, the men’s category includes Logan Fontaine, Andrea Filadelli, and Dominique Acerenza among others.
The event kicks off on Friday with professional races, followed by team competitions, sprints, and children’s events on Saturday. Athletes who have qualified from various OCEANMAN events will take on demanding 10 km and 5 km courses, creating an exhilarating atmosphere at Kite Beach.
Returning to Dubai’s waters is Ukrainian Olympic swimmer Mykhailo Romanchuk, who has competed for five years and expressed his enthusiasm about the city’s dynamic growth. First-time participant Leonie Beck shared her excitement, stating that Dubai exceeded her expectations and highlighted the unique racing environment provided by the beachfront.
With its renowned coastline once again hosting a major sporting event, the OCEANMAN World Final promises a weekend filled with competitive racing, vibrant international participation, and a testament to the city’s ability to stage significant global competitions.
