Qatar Engages in Strait of Hormuz Security Dialogue with UK and France

His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani joined a multinational virtual meeting aimed at addressing maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz.

Convened by UK Secretary of State for Defense John Healey and French Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs Catherine Vautrin, the meeting focused on collaborative security measures.

Officials explored strategies to uphold navigational freedoms and facilitate uninterrupted maritime traffic in this critical waterway. The discussions came in light of the recent agreement surrounding the regional crisis.

Emphasizing the significance of maritime security for global trade and energy supply routes, the talks also reinforced the need for stability in one of the world's busiest shipping corridors.

Qatar’s involvement illustrates its ongoing commitment to fostering international collaboration and bolstering security initiatives within the Gulf region.
