Qatar has raised its voice against the incursion of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israel’s National Security Minister, condemning the provocative acts carried out by Israeli settlers, shielded by Israeli security forces.

In a statement released on Friday, the Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs deemed these actions a blatant breach of international law and humanitarian principles. The ministry emphasized that such provocations are intolerable to millions of Muslims globally.

Qatar also criticized the restrictions placed on worshippers seeking access to Al-Aqsa Mosque. The ministry warned that these recurring acts pose a significant threat to the historical and legal status of occupied Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.

The ministry asserted that Al-Aqsa Mosque is an exclusive place of worship for Muslims. It reiterated that all unilateral actions intended to alter the identity and legal status of Jerusalem and its sacred sites hold no validity under international law.

Qatar cautioned that ongoing infringements and provocative behaviors could escalate violence and unrest in the area, undermining global efforts directed at reinstating peace and stability.

The ministry renewed its appeal to the international community for immediate action to curtail Israel’s continual violations against the Palestinian populace and their sacred sites. It also urged Israel to adhere to international resolutions.

Additionally, Qatar reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people, reiterating its backing for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state defined by 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
