In a spectacular finish, American golfer Patrick Reed triumphed at the 2026 Hero Dubai Desert Classic held at Emirates Golf Club. Reed concluded the tournament at 14 under par, marking a four-shot victory, which not only is his fourth title on the DP World Tour but also his first win in a Rolex Series event.

Starting the final day with a comfortable four-shot lead, Reed played strategically on the front nine, recording eight pars and a single bogey. Amidst the competition, Spain’s David Puig made a notable charge with birdies on the eighth and ninth holes, closing the gap to two shots.

However, Reed regained control on the back nine, sinking birdies on holes 10 and 13, while Puig faltered with a bogey on the 13th. Reed expanded his lead to four strokes and maintained his composure, finishing with five consecutive pars to seal his victory.

Reflecting on his performance post-match, Reed noted that the round was challenging, but his patience and focus on fairways and greens made the difference. He expressed gratitude to his caddie for their unwavering support in those final moments.

Andy Sullivan placed second with a score of 10 under par, followed by French golfer Julien Guerrier at nine under par. Nicolai Højgaard, Francesco Molinari, and Jayden Schaper completed the leaderboard just a shot behind, while David Puig finished at seven under par, ending his day with a two-shot penalty on the final hole.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum presented Reed with the prestigious Dallah Trophy amidst a large gathering at Emirates Golf Club, where many local dignitaries and business elites were in attendance.

In addition, South African amateur Christiaan Maas was honored with the Leading Amateur award. The tournament also showcased junior competitions, creative activities, and initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability.

The Hero Dubai Desert Classic continues to stand out as a premier golf event in the Middle East, with organizers promising an even grander experience for 2027.
