Dubai Launches Smart Drone Delivery in Nad Al Sheba

Post by : Bianca Hayes

Dubai is taking urban logistics to the skies. The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), in collaboration with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department and Keeta Drone, has launched a new drone delivery route in the Nad Al Sheba community. This innovative service will deliver food orders from restaurants and cafés in Nad Al Sheba Avenue Mall directly to residents at the Nad Al Sheba Grand Mosque.

The launch positions Dubai as a global leader in smart transportation and aerial logistics. The first drone delivery was officially overseen by H.E. Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of the DCAA, in the presence of senior officials from various government entities, emphasizing the city’s commitment to sustainable and tech-driven solutions.

Keeta Drone, which already operates multiple routes in Dubai Silicon Oasis, is expanding its network with this new corridor. The route is designed to ensure fast, contactless, and eco-friendly deliveries, connecting residential and commercial zones under strict safety and regulatory standards set by the DCAA.

Nad Al Sheba Grand Mosque, selected as the landing hub, symbolizes the integration of community development and modern technology. The project reflects Dubai’s vision of using innovative solutions to improve the quality of life while promoting sustainability.

Keeta Drone’s General Manager, Junwei Yang, highlighted that this route marks the start of their commercial operations in Nad Al Sheba and reinforces the city’s goal of creating smarter, greener urban spaces.

This initiative is a clear example of how public-private partnerships in Dubai are transforming everyday services and setting new benchmarks for urban logistics.
