Abu Dhabi Launches AED4 Billion Housing Initiative for Citizens

Following the directives of the UAE leadership, Abu Dhabi has unveiled its latest housing benefits initiative for 2025, allocating AED4 billion to assist 3,310 citizens throughout the emirate. This initiative continues the government's efforts to strengthen family stability, promote home ownership, and uplift living standards for Emiratis, coinciding with the celebrations of the 54th Eid Al Etihad.

Included in this initiative are AED2.27 billion in housing loans designed for 1,768 beneficiaries and AED1.51 billion earmarked for housing grants and completed homes. It also incorporates loan repayment exemptions aimed at low-income seniors, retirees, and families who have lost a loved one. Furthermore, those enrolled in the Emirati Family Growth programme will receive reductions in housing loans totaling AED208 million, benefiting 204 individuals.

As a result of this latest funding, the total housing benefits disbursed to Abu Dhabi citizens in 2025 now stands at AED15.384 billion, aiding 10,718 citizens to date. This breakdown includes AED11.766 billion in housing loans, AED3.1 billion in land and ready-home grants, and AED514.75 million in exemptions and reductions for qualifying families.

Since the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, over 129,448 housing benefits have been delivered, amounting to a cumulative total of roughly AED177.57 billion. The ongoing release of these support packages illustrates the leadership’s enduring vision to foster dignified, stable, and sustainable living conditions for Emirati families while aligning with the emirate's broader developmental objectives.

The announcement of this latest package further highlights its national significance, harmonizing with the spirit of unity and progress celebrated during Eid Al Etihad and reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to empowering its citizens through dependable and significant housing support.
