Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Arsenal all delivered standout displays to preserve spotless records in this week’s Champions League fixtures.

At Anfield, Alexis Mac Allister rose to head home the decisive goal in a 1-0 victory over Real Madrid, ending the Spaniards’ run without defeat since September. Thibaut Courtois was outstanding for Madrid, producing eight fine saves before Szoboszlai’s free-kick found Mac Allister for the 63rd-minute winner.

Trent Alexander-Arnold returned to Liverpool for the first time since his move and was greeted with audible boos as the home crowd voiced its feelings. The win arrives at a key moment for Arne Slot’s side, who had been struggling with six losses in eight prior outings.

In Paris, Bayern Munich edged champions Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 as Luis Díaz netted twice in the opening half. Díaz’s early influence powered Bayern onwards, though he was later shown a red card after a tackle on Achraf Hakimi. The result extended Bayern’s impressive run to 16 straight victories across all competitions.

PSG fought back — Joao Neves headed home in the 74th minute — but could not overturn the deficit. Bayern coach Vincent Kompany lauded the performance while stressing the title race remains open.

Arsenal continued their faultless start in Prague with a 3-0 win over Slavia Prague. Fifteen-year-old Max Dowman entered the pitch to become the youngest player in Champions League history at 15 years and 308 days. Bukayo Saka converted a penalty and Mikel Merino added a second-half brace to seal the result.

Elsewhere, Tottenham thumped FC Copenhagen 4-0 at home, Atletico Madrid overcame Union Saint-Gilloise 3-1, Napoli and Juventus were held to frustrating draws, and Monaco claimed a 1-0 victory at Bodo/Glimt.
