Motorists and pedestrians have been advised to exercise extra caution while travelling, as slippery surfaces could lead to dangerous driving conditions and an increased risk of accidents. Officials warned that even areas appearing wet may be icy, making black ice particularly difficult to detect.
Weather forecasts indicate temperatures hovering around freezing in the morning before gradually rising later in the day. Continued rainfall, combined with fluctuating temperatures, could prolong unsafe conditions in some areas.
