The Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) in Qatar has initiated a training program for its inaugural group of volunteers, specializing in search and rescue as well as disaster management.
This program stems from a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) established with the Qatar Voluntary Center, under the Ministry of Culture. The Qatar Search and Rescue Team is responsible for the training, providing participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
The initiative emphasizes the vital contribution of young individuals in national service. It seeks to equip a cohort of dedicated volunteers who are ready to respond efficiently in emergency situations.
By undertaking this training, participants will acquire crucial skills and practical knowledge in disaster response, thereby enhancing the nation’s preparedness and capacity to manage crises.
