Dubai Maritime City, developed by DP World, has celebrated the launch of its Maritime Business Centre 2 (MBC-2), a prime office tower built with an investment of AED 160 million.

The project was finalized in just 20 months, demonstrating significant demand with 78% of the office spaces leased ahead of its grand opening. This trend indicates a rising interest in premium office environments within Dubai’s key business districts.

Situated in the Commercial District of Dubai Maritime City, Maritime Business Centre 2 offers 125 upscale office units ranging from 40 to 980 square meters, complete with impressive waterfront views to accommodate diverse business needs.

The facility features two categories of office spaces: fully fitted plug-and-play options, allowing immediate move-in, and shell-and-core spaces that enable tenants to create bespoke office designs according to their specifications.

In addition, the tower boasts contemporary amenities, including a wellness floor with a gym, recreational areas, retail outlets, and dining options. With 480 parking spaces, the building includes reserved spots for electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as for People of Determination. It is also outfitted with smart energy-saving technologies.

This development marks the move of the Dubai Maritime City headquarters and Jafza’s licensing department into MBC-2, establishing it as a focal point for maritime business operations and client services.

According to Dubai Maritime City COO Ahmed Al Hammadi, the rapid uptake of office spaces reflects strong investor confidence in the area as a premier destination for maritime and trade-related businesses. He further emphasized how this initiative supports businesses seeking proximity to ports, logistics networks, and vital trade routes.

The launch event featured senior officials from DP World and related agencies, underscoring the project's significance for Dubai’s expanding maritime and logistics landscape.

This opening not only enhances Dubai Maritime City’s status as a vital hub for maritime, logistics, and trade operations but also aligns with DP World’s broader vision of developing integrated economic zones across its global ventures.
