In line with UAE directives, the Emirates Falcon Racing Cup is set to take center stage this Thursday in Kuwait, marking an important moment for this emerging sport. Scheduled from December 4 to 7, the event will gather top falconers from across the region, aiming to propel falcon racing into the international spotlight.
This championship is part of the UAE Falcons Federation’s strategy to professionalize falconry as a competitive sport on a global level. As a founding member of the International Federation for Falconry Sports and Racing, the UAE is dedicated to transforming falconry from its humble heritage roots into a contemporary and recognized competitive discipline.
All technical and logistical preparations for the event have been completed, with championship regulations released on official channels, a dedicated registration app made available to participants, and the comprehensive schedule for the opening ceremony and additional activities finalized.
The UAE Federation has emphasized that this inaugural event in Kuwait will pave the way for future championships to rotate among member nations according to established guidelines. Kuwaiti falconers are also invited to participate, allowing them to engage in a top-tier competitive atmosphere and contribute to the sport's rising popularity.
The Emirates Falcon Racing Cup will feature seven races categorized under Farkh, including four main rounds, a Hur round, and a Shaheen round for farm-bred falcons. The finale will be marked by the Cup Race, where the top five falcons from each main round vie for the title. Categories such as Pure Jeer, Jeer–Shaheen, Qarmousha, and Jeer–Taba’ will be highlighted, with a total prize pool of AED 500,000 for the champions.
With thorough preparations and robust collaboration from Kuwaiti teams and committees, the championship aims for a remarkable debut. This event not only reinforces the UAE's commitment to promoting falcon racing on a global scale but also seeks to preserve this cherished sport for generations to come.
