India Triumphs Over New Zealand by 7 Wickets, Claims 2–0 Series Lead

In a thrilling clash, India showcased their dominance by beating New Zealand by seven wickets in the second T20I at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. This victory puts India ahead 2–0 in the five-match series.

Facing a daunting target of 209 runs, India's innings began shakily with Sanju Samson falling for just 6 runs in the opening over, followed by Abhishek Sharma, who was dismissed for a golden duck. At that point, India found themselves struggling at 8/2.

However, Ishan Kishan and captain Suryakumar Yadav revived the innings with a stellar partnership worth 122 runs, effectively stabilizing the game. Kishan blasted 76 off 32 deliveries, striking 11 fours and 4 sixes before falling to Ish Sodhi in the 10th over.

Yadav remained resolute, finishing with an impressive 82 not out off 37 balls, which included 9 fours and 4 sixes. Shivam Dube contributed a brisk 36 off 18 balls, enabling India to chase the target within 15.2 overs.

Earlier, New Zealand posted a total of 208/6 in their 20 overs. Rachin Ravindra recorded 44 runs from 26 balls, while captain Mitchell Santner remained unbeaten on 47. Kuldeep Yadav proved to be the standout bowler, taking 2 wickets for 35 runs.

Despite a solid total from New Zealand, their bowlers were unable to contain India's aggressive batting display.
