An Indian national was killed in Abu Dhabi after debris from an intercepted missile fell on a populated area. The tragic incident happened on Thursday and highlights the growing danger for civilians during the ongoing Middle East conflict.

Officials said the missile was successfully intercepted by air defence systems. However, pieces of the destroyed missile fell on Sweihan Street, causing serious damage. The falling debris killed one Indian and one Pakistani national. Another Indian was injured along with two others from the United Arab Emirates and Jordan.

Emergency teams quickly reached the spot to help the injured and clear the wreckage. Several vehicles were also damaged due to the impact. Authorities confirmed that the defence system worked as planned, but the falling fragments created a dangerous situation on the ground.

This incident has increased concern as the Middle East war continues to affect civilians. The number of Indians killed in the conflict has now reached at least seven. According to officials, since the conflict began, the UAE has intercepted hundreds of threats, including 372 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and more than 1,800 drones.

The UAE Ministry of Defence said 169 people have been injured so far, with injuries ranging from minor to serious. The ministry added that it remains fully prepared to handle any threats and will act strongly to protect the country’s safety.

Authorities have also warned about the risks of falling debris during missile interceptions. Even when defence systems stop incoming threats, fragments can still fall in nearby areas. Officials in Abu Dhabi have urged people to follow official updates and avoid spreading unverified information as investigations continue.
