Hollywood star Megan Fox has officially joined the cast of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, lending her voice to the fan-favorite character Toy Chica in Universal and Blumhouse’s highly anticipated horror sequel. The film, which continues the chilling saga set in the haunted Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, will be released in theaters on December 5.
Returning Faces and New Voices
The new casting announcement was made during Jason Blum’s BlumFest panel, which also highlighted upcoming Blumhouse projects such as Black Phone 2, the horror video game Sleep Awake, and the Five Nights at Freddy’s sequel.
Joining Fox are MatPat as the voice of Toy Bonnie and Kellen Goff as Toy Freddy. Director Emma Tammi returns to helm the sequel after the success of the original, with Josh Hutcherson reprising his role as the security guard trapped in the eerie pizzeria. The returning ensemble also includes Matthew Lillard, Elizabeth Lail, and Piper Rubio.
Plot and Tagline Tease a Deadlier Game
While the studio has yet to reveal which animatronic creatures will resurface, a new tagline sets the tone for a darker, more perilous sequel:
“Anyone can survive five nights. This time, there will be no second chances.”
The sequel is expected to delve deeper into the mysteries behind Freddy Fazbear’s haunted animatronics and the sinister forces that inhabit them. Fans anticipate expanded lore, higher stakes, and even more terrifying encounters.

The first Five Nights at Freddy’s film, released in October 2023, became a box office phenomenon, grossing $297 million worldwide and earning the title of Blumhouse’s highest-grossing film of all time. Remarkably, it achieved this feat despite its simultaneous streaming debut on Peacock, proving the enduring appeal of the franchise’s mix of nostalgia and terror.
The original followed Hutcherson’s character, a struggling security guard who discovers that the animatronic mascots of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza harbor a murderous secret. With its blend of jump scares, emotional backstory, and game-inspired details, the film captured both horror fans and gamers alike.
Megan Fox’s Recent Career Moves
For Fox, this role marks another addition to her expanding portfolio of genre projects. She recently starred alongside Michele Morrone in Millennium Media’s sci-fi thriller Subservience and appeared in Amazon’s comedy series Overcompensating. Her other notable works include the dark survival thriller Till Death, vampire flick Night Teeth, fantasy comedy Big Gold Brick, and action sequel The Expendables 4.
