Record Growth at Dubai World Trade Centre for 2025

Dubai: The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has revealed an impressive performance for the year 2025, fueled by a notable rise in international business events and participation. These figures elevate Dubai's profile as a premier global destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE).

In total, DWTC hosted 401 events over the year, representing a 6% growth, while attendance soared to 2.97 million, a 12% year-on-year increase. Events took place at both the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Dubai Exhibition Centre.

Boost in MICE Activities

A total of 134 MICE events brought in 2.19 million participants, showing an 8% rise. International attendees remained robust at 951,000, accounting for 43% of the total.

With over 63,000 exhibiting companies and 78% coming from abroad, Dubai continues to entice global enterprises and investors.

Flagship Events Foster Increased Participation

DWTC’s 14 flagship events drew nearly 630,000 visitors, a 7% increase, with 41% of participants being from overseas.

High-profile events like Gulfood Manufacturing and GITEX Global recorded remarkable attendance, rising by 12% and 10%, respectively. Additionally, the organisation broadened its reach, conducting events in Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Leading Industry Sectors of 2025

Several sectors excelled during the year:

  • Healthcare & Medical: 436,000 participants (largest share)

  • Technology (ICT): 341,000 participants, a 21% increase

  • Food & Beverage: 280,000 participants

  • Retail & Consumer Goods: 117,000 participants

  • Security & Safety: 105,000 participants

Noteworthy exhibitions included the World Health Expo, Intersec, and Arabian Travel Market, showcasing a varied and industry-targeted events calendar.

Dubai Exhibition Centre Expansion

A significant highlight of 2025 was the completion of Phase 1 of the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) enlargement, which added 140,000 sqm of event space. This venue hosted 36 events with 319,000 attendees, reinforcing Dubai’s capacity for large international showcases.

Conferences and Global Networking

DWTC also conducted 25 conferences, drawing 62,000 participants, including 11 new events. Furthermore, 14 international association meetings attracted 29,000 attendees, demonstrating Dubai’s capability to engage global professional communities.

Growth in Business Ecosystem

The broader ecosystem around DWTC experienced significant growth:

  • Free Zone: 850 new company registrations

  • Commercial properties: 97% occupancy rate

  • Residential spaces: 96% occupancy rate

Moreover, the organisation implemented modern frameworks to assist contemporary businesses and adaptable corporate structures.
