Dubai’s Islamic Centres Achieve Over 4,900 Training Hours in Early 2026

Dubai's Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) celebrated a significant educational achievement in the first quarter of 2026, thanks to its community centres under the Islamic Knowledge Programs Administration.

Notable centres contributing to this success include the Al Mizhar Cultural Islamic Centre, Umm Al Sheif Cultural Islamic Centre, and the Nad Al Sheba Women’s Centre.

In the initial three months of 2026, these centres facilitated over 4,900 training hours and instructed upwards of 2,830 lessons. Furthermore, 104 Quran circles were held, underscoring a strong commitment to advancing Islamic education, particularly for women and girls.

Regular morning and evening Quranic sessions were also conducted, resulting in the completion of 12 full Quran recitations (Khatmas), showcasing a structured and consistent educational framework tailored for various age groups.

To enhance the quality of learning, 14 innovative teaching methods were introduced, enriching both the participants’ experiences and overall educational outcomes.

The centres experienced robust community involvement, with over 500 new registration applications submitted. In addition to educational initiatives, 24 community activities were organized, amassing a total of 137 community service hours, aimed at fostering social connections and values like unity.

Sheikha Sultan Al Mulla, Director of the Islamic Knowledge Programs Administration, remarked that these accomplishments reflect the department’s effectiveness in delivering programs that address the authentic needs of women and girls. She noted that engaging directly with participants has been crucial to building trust and enhancing program quality.

She further elaborated that these initiatives align with the department's “Closer to the Community” strategy, merging in-person interactions with digital learning to ensure a long-lasting educational impact that enhances quality of life and family stability in society.
