In a significant move, Dubai South has entered into a partnership with Majid Al Futtaim to construct an impressive AED 62 billion mixed-use community in Dubai. Covering 22 million square feet, this development will include various residential, retail, entertainment, and lifestyle amenities.
The agreement was formalized at Dubai South's headquarters, with notable figures including HE Khalifa Alzaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, along with Fadel Abdulbaqi Al Ali, Chairman of Majid Al Futtaim Holding.
The signing involved Nabil Alkindi, Group CEO of Dubai South, and Ahmed Galal Ismail, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Holding, marking a crucial partnership.
This master-planned community will offer a diverse range of residential choices and lifestyle destinations tailored to accommodate the increasing population of Dubai South and surrounding regions. A large shopping mall is poised to become a central feature, attracting visitors for shopping, entertainment, and leisure activities.
Strategically situated near Al Maktoum International Airport, which is set to become the world's largest airport upon completion, the site promises excellent connectivity to major highways, transport systems, and Dubai’s key economic hubs.
Nabil Alkindi remarked that this collaboration signifies a pivotal advancement in Dubai South's development and aligns with Dubai’s long-term urban and economic strategies outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
