Emergency Services Tackle Fire at Dubai Marina High-Rise

Post by : Bianca Hayes

Early today, a fire erupted at a high-rise building in Dubai Marina that is still under construction, igniting a prompt reaction from emergency teams.

The blaze began around 7:30 am at The Residences at Al Habtoor Grand, a 50-storey structure nearing the waterfront, adjacent to the Habtoor Grand Hotel. This project is slated for completion by March 2027.

Dubai Civil Defence units, along with police forces, arrived swiftly on scene as thick smoke billowed over the marina. Authorities quickly secured the area surrounding the hotel to prioritize public safety and facilitate firefighting efforts.

The location's closeness to Al Marsa Civil Defence station enabled a rapid response from emergency personnel, initiating firefighting operations promptly.

Currently, there is no available information regarding the fire's cause, and no injuries have been reported.

Incidents like this tend to rise in the hotter months, where dry conditions can exacerbate the spread of fire, making swift intervention vital.
