The Community Development Authority (CDA) has unveiled the ‘Nuwat Dubai’ initiative, part of the Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Family Programme, aiming to fortify family stability and enhance community wellbeing in Dubai.
Attended by representatives from supportive organizations, strategic partners, and community members, the launch event emphasizes the Dubai Social Agenda 33 goals, which advocate for sustainable programs focused on family cohesion and psychological wellness.
Hosted at Coffee Lab, the event featured various engaging activities tailored for audiences across the community. These included personality assessments, family consultations, social guidance, competitions, and prize draws sponsored by National Bonds.
These interactive elements fostered a lively atmosphere that encouraged families to engage with the initiative's objectives of promoting stronger connections and enhancing social awareness.
Dr. Namaa Al Shamsi, the Director of the Family Development Department at the CDA, emphasized that this initiative is a crucial step toward supporting families as a cornerstone of a resilient and sustainable society.
She noted that the initiative mirrors Dubai’s vision of investing in its people while enhancing family and community wellbeing. Furthermore, she reiterated the CDA’s dedication to fostering sustainable programs that bolster families’ psychological and social stability while improving interactions between families and social support entities.
Dr. Al Shamsi stated that this initiative is aligned with CDA's broader goal of establishing a cohesive social services system that caters to community needs. Ensuring safe and nurturing environments for families remains pivotal to advancing sustainable social development within Dubai.
Comprising a wider array of community initiatives, the ‘Nuwat Dubai’ program aims to strengthen family bonds, elevate social consciousness, and assist families in confronting social and psychological challenges through inventive and sustainable means.
