Eid Al Etihad: Free Parking Announced for Dubai Residents

Post by : Bianca Hayes

Motorists in Dubai can take advantage of three days of complimentary public parking as the Eid Al Etihad celebrations commence. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has confirmed that all paid zones—excluding multi-level terminals and the Al Khail Gate N365 area—will be free of charge on Monday, December 1, and Tuesday, December 2. With Sundays already being free, residents are set for an extended parking-free holiday.

During this two-day holiday, RTA's customer happiness centres and vehicle testing centres will be closed. However, Smart Customer Happiness Centres located in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Twar, and the RTA Headquarters will operate 24/7, providing continuous digital service.

Public transport services will be adjusted for the holiday. The Dubai Metro’s Red and Green Lines are scheduled to operate from 5:00 am to 1:00 am on November 29, December 1, and 2, with altered hours from 8:00 am to 1:00 am on November 30. The Dubai Tram will follow similar timings, commencing service at 6:00 am on November 29 and December 1–2, and 9:00 am on November 30.

Passengers can track bus service alterations using the S’hail app for real-time route updates. Those using marine transport can also find adjusted schedules on the official platform.

This long weekend is set up for smooth movement across the city, thanks to the extended transport hours and free parking available in most public areas.
