Dubai Chamber Elevates Business Resilience in Changing Times

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, functioning under Dubai Chambers, convened its second quarterly gathering of Business Groups and Councils for 2026, assembling representatives from 64 organizations.

This meeting aimed at fortifying the resilience of Dubai’s private sector while enhancing the emirate’s overall business environment to adapt to changing global circumstances.

Participants received updates on the chamber’s ongoing initiatives to bolster various economic sectors. Critical efforts designed to ensure business continuity and facilitate seamless trade and investment across Dubai were underscored. The chamber laid out its strategic priorities and plans for the upcoming months.

Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, highlighted the significance of collaboration. She noted that Business Groups and Councils are essential in uplifting Dubai’s investment landscape and broadening trade connections, particularly in today's global context. Al Gargawi reiterated that robust public-private partnerships are key to the emirate’s economic expansion.

A panel discussion at the event revolved around governmental readiness and adaptability in aiding businesses. Representatives from entities such as Dubai Customs, Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, and Dubai Municipality contributed to this dialogue.

The meeting also tackled significant challenges stemming from both regional and international developments. The chamber deliberated on actionable solutions to promote the long-term endurance, resilience, and competitiveness of the business sector.

Business advocacy surfaced as a fundamental focus for the chamber, with campaigns underway to enhance private sector engagement in shaping regulations, refining business processes, and crafting fresh opportunities across numerous sectors.

Business Groups and Councils maintain their essential function as a conduit between governmental bodies and the private sector, fostering Dubai’s vibrant business ecosystem and supporting effective public-private collaborations that drive business success throughout the emirate.
