Dubai Celebrates Emirati Women with ‘Proud of UAE’ March

In alignment with the ‘Proud of UAE’ campaign initiated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Community Development Authority (CDA) orchestrated the ‘Generation Shapers Proud of UAE’ march at Umm Suqeim Park in Dubai.

This initiative aimed to bolster social cohesion, enhance national identity, and nurture a profound sense of belonging within the community.

Attended by Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of CDA, the event drew in mothers, Emirati women, families, and community members, celebrating the vital contributions of Emirati women in nurturing future generations and fostering a robust societal framework.

Various activities cultivated community engagement, with local Emirati startups and small businesses participating voluntarily. Visitors received UAE flags and commemorative gifts, while entertainment and awareness competitions for mothers and children added to the festive spirit reflecting collective national pride.

Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid remarked that this initiative symbolizes the UAE leadership’s commitment to empowering Emirati women and fortifying family roles within the community. She underscored that the nation's progress is closely intertwined with the influence of Emirati women in instilling national values in future generations.

She also emphasized that robust families form the foundation of a strong society, a goal that CDA continuously strives to achieve through effective community programs enhancing quality of life and social stability.

The CDA indicated that this initiative supports the objectives of Dubai Social Agenda 33, emphasizing family wellbeing and robust community ties across Dubai.

The event fostered connections among various community segments, including mothers, homemakers, senior Emirati women, people of determination and their families, women-led volunteer groups, and minors with their families, further promoting intergenerational dialogue and social solidarity.

Collaboration among various governmental and supporting entities, such as Dubai Police, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), and Dubai Municipality, highlighted the collective efforts in backing national initiatives and preserving Emirati values.
