Dubai and Sweden Forge Stronger Bonds in Culture and Innovation

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, held a meeting with Fredrik Florén to explore avenues for deeper collaboration between Dubai and Sweden in cultural, educational, and creative sectors, including music and design.

Sheikha Latifa emphasized the robust and evolving relationship between the UAE and Sweden. She acknowledged Sweden's endorsement of cultural and creative industries, and remarked that both nations share a vision to foster a thriving creative economy and to spur innovation through cultural initiatives.

Highlighting the importance of culture in nurturing dialogue and establishing meaningful human connections, Sheikha Latifa asserted that the partnership between the UAE and Sweden exemplifies a mutual dedication to enhancing creative fields that foster innovation and knowledge sharing.

Furthermore, she mentioned Dubai's ongoing efforts to enhance its cultural landscape through international partnerships, which provide opportunities for artists and creatives, promote inter-sector collaborations, and support sustainable creative industries for upcoming generations.

Guided by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision, Sheikha Latifa stated that Dubai is becoming an international cultural epicenter, investing in talent and cultural exchanges.

The meeting was attended by Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Saeed Al Eter, and other officials.

Ambassador Fredrik Florén, in his remarks, praised the strong relationship between the UAE and Sweden and highlighted the need for continual cultural dialogue to boost creativity and innovation.

He lauded Dubai's rapidly evolving cultural environment and its capacity to attract global talent while enhancing its status as a leading international cultural hub.
