Drydocks World Launches Construction on Cutting-Edge HQ in Dubai

Post by : Bianca Hayes

Drydocks World has officially kicked off the construction of its new head office in Dubai, a significant step towards revolutionizing its operations and reinforcing the city’s maritime industry. This facility is expected to be completed by early 2027 and will bring together nearly 700 employees in one centralized location, designed to boost collaboration and efficiency across the organization.

Covering 44,779 square meters on a 13,390-square-meter site adjacent to the current shipyard, the state-of-the-art office will be conveniently located while remaining separate from the bustling fabrication areas. Direct access from Jumeirah Beach Road will facilitate easy entry for guests and clients, maintaining safety and operational integrity.

Central to the building's design is a commitment to sustainability, evidenced by its pursuit of LEED Gold certification. It will include energy-efficient systems, smart ventilation, cutting-edge safety features, and 50 electric vehicle charging stations within about 500 parking spaces. Planned amenities such as open-plan workspaces, multi-purpose rooms, dining areas, gyms, and prayer spaces will promote a harmonious and cooperative work atmosphere.

This headquarters is part of a broader initiative that aligns with DP World’s own global headquarters currently being developed at Expo City Dubai, both of which signify a shared vision for creating the next generation of sustainable workplaces across the Group.

The expansion of Drydocks World represents a four-decade legacy in contributing to Dubai’s maritime advancements, focusing on complex ship repairs, conversions, and offshore undertakings. This new headquarters symbolizes a continuation of that legacy while also embracing an innovative and sustainable approach to operational excellence in the UAE.
