Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has acknowledged the discrepancies tied to the Central Board of Secondary Education’s On-Screen Marking evaluation process, committing to stringent measures against those responsible for the irregularities. This assurance follows raised concerns regarding technical errors and payment issues that have impacted students during the CBSE re-evaluation and verification phases.
On Thursday, Pradhan presided over a high-level meeting with CBSE officials at their headquarters in New Delhi to assess complaints regarding the OSM system. The agenda included discussions on errors evidenced during answer sheet verification, as well as technical difficulties and payment delays related to re-evaluation requests.
The Minister declared that the government is serious about addressing students' concerns and will enforce accountability for any intentional mistakes or misconduct found. He assured that no student’s future should be jeopardized due to administrative faults or technical failures within the evaluation system.
Emphasizing the necessity for enhanced transparency and efficiency within the digital evaluation system adopted by CBSE, Pradhan acknowledged the On-Screen Marking system's goal to modernize answer sheet assessments and diminish human error.
