Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd has finalized a significant long-term partnership with AJet and Turkish Airlines to lease 10 state-of-the-art Boeing 737-8 aircraft. The delivery will occur in two phases, with one portion arriving in 2026 and the rest in 2027. This agreement underscores AJet's commitment to expanding its operations in Türkiye’s rapidly evolving aviation landscape.

Firoz Tarapore, the CEO of DAE, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, indicating that DAE is delighted to assist a longstanding client like Turkish Airlines in supporting AJet's growth with advanced and fuel-efficient aircraft. He further noted that Türkiye represents one of the fastest-growing aviation markets globally, boosting the demand for modern fleets. Data from Türkiye’s Ministry of Transport indicates a 5.7 percent rise in flight movements in the first half of 2025, reflecting a robust increase in passenger air travel.

Tarapore emphasized DAE’s appreciation for the confidence placed in them by both Turkish Airlines and AJet. He wished both airlines success as they prepare to incorporate the new jets into their operations. He also pointed out that the selected aircraft are designed with new technology focused on fuel efficiency, which is crucial for airlines aiming to enhance sustainability.

The 737-8 model is part of the advanced 737 MAX series, recognized for its enhanced fuel-saving capabilities and better performance, especially on medium-haul routes. This aircraft model will be especially beneficial for AJet as it aims to expand its domestic and international reach, providing increased efficiency and adaptability. The modernized fleet will enable AJet to accommodate growing passenger traffic and optimize its route network.

Currently, DAE holds, manages, or has plans to own a total of 236 Boeing aircraft, including 119 from the 737 MAX line. This portfolio reflects DAE's strong faith in this aircraft type and its enduring partnership with Boeing. With so many Boeing aircraft in its inventory, DAE continues to bolster airline expansion worldwide with reliable and innovative aircraft solutions.

This new agreement is a crucial milestone for Turkey's aviation industry. With increasing traveler preferences for air travel and a rising tourism sector, airlines like AJet and Turkish Airlines are keen on expanding their fleets with efficient, modern jets. As flight numbers rise and airport development flourishes in Türkiye, the demand for advanced aircraft is anticipated to surge.

By establishing this leasing arrangement with DAE, AJet is well-prepared to address future passenger demands, enhance reliability, and provide a superior travel experience. The arrivals of the jets in 2026 and 2027 will align perfectly with the airline's long-term growth and modernization objectives.

In conclusion, this agreement signifies a pivotal achievement for DAE, AJet, and Turkish Airlines, showcasing DAE's robust standing in the global aircraft leasing sector and its dedication to aiding airline partners through modern aircraft solutions. It reinforces AJet’s future aspirations and ensures passengers benefit from a more contemporary and reliable fleet.
