Bahrain Commends UAE’s Mediation in Recent Prisoner Exchange

The Kingdom of Bahrain has expressed gratitude for the UAE's successful mediation in a recent prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine. This latest swap, which involved 410 individuals, was hailed by Bahrain as a significant humanitarian achievement that may assist in de-escalating tensions and promote a resolution to the ongoing conflict.

In an official statement released by the Bahrain News Agency, the Foreign Affairs Ministry applauded the UAE’s diplomatic and humanitarian efforts in orchestrating the exchange. It underlined the UAE's sustained contributions since the inception of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, noting the release of a total of 7,101 prisoners across 23 mediation initiatives.

Bahrain reiterated its commitment to supporting both regional and global drives aimed at achieving peace through dialogue and negotiation. The ministry emphasized the critical need to alleviate the humanitarian consequences of the ongoing strife while promoting stability in the region and worldwide.

The UAE's significant humanitarian engagement in facilitating recent mediations has garnered worldwide acknowledgment, as it has aided both parties in executing prisoner exchanges amid the conflict.
