Exciting Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Judo Tournament to Feature 14 Event Showdowns

The Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Judo Tournament is set to electrify fans with 14 thrilling events for both men and women from November 28 to 30. Hosted by the UAE Judo Federation and endorsed by national sports authorities, this championship will be monitored by the International Judo Federation, ensuring top-tier competition and Olympic ranking implications.

Over three dynamic days, the Mubadala Arena will serve as the venue for morning elimination rounds on three mats, culminating in the evening finals that kick off at 5:00 pm daily on a central mat. An impressive total of 56 medals—14 gold, 14 silver, and 28 bronze—will be awarded, showcasing the event's significance and competitiveness.

The men's division will feature seven well-established weight classes: –60 kg, 66 kg, 73 kg, 81 kg, 90 kg, 100 kg and +100 kg. Correspondingly, the women's divisions will comprise –48 kg, 52 kg, 57 kg, 63 kg, 70 kg, 78 kg and +78 kg, attracting elite athletes from across the globe.

On Thursday, the official draw will take place at 2:00 pm via video conference, where internationally recognized judokas will join the UAE national team in finalizing the matchups. With €154,000 in prize money and vital Olympic qualification points at stake, the tournament promises three days of fierce competition and unforgettable performances in Abu Dhabi.
