Dubai Set to Welcoming World Boxing Championships in 2025

The International Boxing Association (IBA) has officially declared that the vibrant city of Dubai will be the venue for the 2025 IBA Men’s Elite World Championships, scheduled from December 2 to December 13 at the renowned Tennis Stadium. This thrilling event will be part of an exciting two-week Festival of Boxing, drawing elite fighters from around the globe.

Competitors from various nations will vie for championship titles and a staggering $8 million in prize money, marking this as the richest tournament in boxing history. Champions in each category will receive $300,000, while runners-up will earn $150,000, third-place fighters will pocket $75,000, and fifth place will take home $10,000. The prize distribution is notably collaborative, allocating 50% to the boxer, 25% to their coach, and 25% to the National Federation, showcasing the importance of teamwork in this sport.

IBA President Umar Kremlev noted that this payout structure underscores the organization's commitment to nurturing both elite athletes and grassroots boxing. “This World Championships is about more than just prizes; it honors the hard work and dedication of every boxer, coach, and federation,” he stated.
