Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Receives AHA Accreditation for Stroke Training

The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority has reached a significant benchmark by securing accreditation for the Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) programme from the American Heart Association (AHA). In addition, the authority has reaffirmed its role as an AHA-authorised training centre, showcasing its dedication to upholding international healthcare standards.

This accreditation represents a pivotal advancement in enhancing Abu Dhabi’s emergency healthcare system. The ASLS programme aims to optimize swift and precise stroke evaluations, enhance clinical decision-making processes, and facilitate timely medical interventions rooted in evidence-based methodologies. These improvements are poised to notably elevate patient care outcomes and ensure effective collaboration between pre-hospital services and emergency departments.

The renewed accreditation as an AHA training centre underscores the authority’s relentless dedication to equipping emergency responders with top-tier skills. They continue to provide specialized courses including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and first aid training.
