In a significant move for the UAE’s export sector, AD Ports Group and Borouge Plc have formalized a partnership to enhance cooperation aimed at bolstering export efficiency and operational adaptability.

The collaboration seeks to investigate the potential for a dedicated international export hub on the UAE's eastern coastline. This initiative is poised to play a pivotal role in Borouge's long-range export strategy, contributing to a more robust logistics network for uninterrupted export operations.

Through this partnership, both entities intend to leverage AD Ports Group's maritime connectivity and port capabilities, particularly at Fujairah Terminals and associated facilities. They will also evaluate the construction of specialized polyolefins infrastructure in this region.

The project aims to minimize dependency on overcrowded shipping routes while enhancing scheduling and shipping adaptability. Both organizations plan to liaise with shipping companies to investigate alternative export pathways via Fujairah Terminals.

This initiative is projected to facilitate stable and dependable export operations through a varied array of ports and logistics setups, reinforcing the UAE’s stature as a pivotal global logistics and industrial nexus.

Saif Al Mazrouei, CEO of the Ports Cluster at AD Ports Group, expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with Borouge, emphasizing opportunities that bolster industrial exports and enhance trade connectivity on both regional and global fronts.

Meanwhile, Hazeem Sultan Al Suwaidi, CEO of Borouge Plc, remarked that this partnership represents a critical advancement in the company’s logistics capabilities and aligns with its future growth ambitions. He underscored that the partnership will facilitate a more versatile and diversified export network, assuring continual supply for their global clientele.

Borouge Plc stands as the foremost exporter through AD Ports Group. This latest agreement further consolidates the enduring partnership established in 2001 between the two enterprises.
