Abu Dhabi Enhances Food Security and Supply Chain Resilience

In a proactive effort to bolster food security and maintain pricing stability, the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) and the Abu Dhabi Registration Authority (ADRA), carried out a field visit to the Abu Dhabi Cooperative Society (ADCOOP). This operation was executed in partnership with Silal Group.

The esteemed delegation comprised senior officials and industry executives who scrutinized ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening the emirate's food supply chains and ensuring the availability of essential goods. This visit is part of Abu Dhabi's extensive strategy to protect strategic reserves and bolster resilience within the food sector.

During the site inspection, officials evaluated the storage, distribution, and operational systems to ensure utmost efficiency and adherence to top-quality food safety standards. A thorough examination of the product lifecycle was also conducted to verify alignment with regulatory standards and best practices.
